It started in 2022 when we had to place my father in a Memory Care facility after his Alzheimer's diagnosis. I researched countless options and spoke with many senior living communities before finally finding the right one.
Fast forward to 2025, it was time to find my mother an Assisted Living facility. After six months, her needs had grown, and we moved her to a higher level of Skilled Nursing care — ultimately to the same home where my father was living. A month later, she moved into his room, so they could spend their final days together.
At the same time I had to find home health care for my mother.
They had met over 77 years earlier, when my father's mother was hospitalized and my mother was the nurse caring for her. She remembered thinking what a kind young man he was, visiting his mother every day. They spent their last days on this earth side by side — and passed away just 3½ days apart.
That experience changed me. I saw firsthand how much it matters to find the right community — And how hard families work to get there. It's why I'm passionate about helping senior living communities connect with the families who need them most. Since then, I have devoted our marketing practice to partnering with senior living communities and home health care providers across the country — Because this work isn't just business to me. It's personal.
